There are very rare occasions that a restaurant that you so fondly remember from years ago manages to maintain the magic, the quality and the vibe that made them so special. Especially with growth and a new building. Pancho is an absolute gem of Ballarat. Authentic to the cuisine and themselves. The vibe is amazing. Prices reasonable. People amazing. And some of the most authentic South American cuisine I've had in Australia. And the ONLY real Pina Colada I've had here. An absolute MUST. This place is truly special.

Fresh, delicious tacos and the corn was incredible too. For $65 - 2 people, we shared an entree and 6 tacos and was full. So good, I’ll be back if I’m Ballarat.

My Happy Place ☺️ Such a wonderful experience in every way. Consistently fun, delicious food, and the staff are always so helpful and lovely. We were looked after by Nadia: such a treat and blessings 😌 Jose, the Man who owns the restaurant runs the restaurant. It seems he is always working: he speaks to his customers, runs the floor and monitors the open kitchen and the bar. I honestly wouldn't bother going to South America because the food would be a disappointment after visiting Panchos 🐒 🙈 🙉 🙊

The food and the atmosphere are amazing. The food is Peruvian, which is kind of like Mexican. The Taco Tingo de Pollo is well worthwhile. Serving sizes are a little small, but the quality is excellent.

Absolutely delicious! The highlight was the Pork and Cheese Arepa. Would come back here for the food, service and atmosphere! A real Ballarat gem ❤️

Definitely worth the drive out to Ballarat for this Latin American restaurant. Lover of Peruvian food, this ticked the boxes. Great selection of drinks. Food was beautifully served and amazing!

Great food and ambiance, the food and drink comes out quickly and the service is prompt. Really liked eating here and loved the authenticity of the menu - it’s more what the restaurant wants to offer than one of those cookie cutter Mexican places which was welcomed and appreciated.

Yo, where to start! The gastronomic offering was very extensive, covering various dishes from South American countries, with a touch of European décor and service, where the focus is not only on eating well, but also on making it an experience, being attentive to every detail. We tried the empanadas, the "Corte del día", the Provoleta, the Papas, the Elote and the Alfajor. All of them are authentic and of good quality, full of flavours that take you back to South America! Although the wine list is not very extensive, it has very good quality wines. The best thing: they have Pacífico beer. As for the price, it's the same as going out for tapas. The portions are a little small but elaborate and homemade (nothing taken out of a bag and put in the fryer, we're talking about real kitchen) with fresh ingredients. The price is relative to the love and time that goes into the preparations. Even the aguas frescas were homemade and fresh, full of fruit as they should be. If you want to compare it to the price of a chicken schnitzel with chips, you're making a mistake. The authenticity of the dishes, the time and order in which they came out of the kitchen, the doneness of the meat, the flavours, the chimichurri, the smiles of the staff, made me feel at home for a while. We will definitely be back. Thanks hips y'all, we'll see yous soon ✌🏻

We dined here to celebrate my partners birthday. I ordered the Pabellon Criollo in the vegan option and it was one of the best meals I’ve had! My partner ordered an oyster, street corn, lamb skewers and the chicken tacos and enjoyed them all. The staff were very friendly and accommodating 🩷 It was a busy night with a particularly loud group, but otherwise the ambiance is lovely!
